IN CONJUNCTION with its 60th anniversary, Brunei Press Sdn Bhd organised a fun-filled day for the children of Pusat Ehsan at the centre’s Football Field in Kg Bengkurong yesterday. The ‘Fun Day at Pusat Ehsan’ was part of the company’s ‘Reach Out’ programme.

The guest of honour at the event was Dato Paduka Mohd Alimin Abd Wahab, Acting Chairman of Pusat Ehsan.

Also present at the event were Reggie See, General Manager of Brunei Press Sdn Bhd; Hazizah Osman, the Deputy General Manager; Pg Datin Hjh Noraini, Executive Trustee of Pusat Ehsan; along with other Board of Trustee members, teachers, volunteers and students of Pusat Ehsan as well as other managers and staff of Brunei Press.

During the event, a welcoming remark was delivered by the General Manager of Brunei Press, where he stated that the Brunei Press ‘Reach Out’ programme is planned and organised by the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) committee of the company for the well-being of the people in the Sultanate.

“Recent activities included a blood donation campaign, launching of a new set of ‘Road Safety’ messages in Borneo Bulletin and Media Permata targeting families with children, a donation drive for relief of Philippines’ Typhoon Haiyan and Bohol Earthquake, and an AIDS awareness quiz,” he said.

The General Manager thanked the generous support of Brunei Press’ stakeholders – D’Sunlit, Supa Save, Ben Foods and the organising committees and volunteers of Pusat Ehsan.

Through yesterday’s event, the General Manager added that the staff of Brunei Press will be able to use the opportunity to learn from Pusat Ehsan to work, care, communicate and interact with the students, in addition to giving more ideas on how to enhance their future CSR events.

Students of Pusat Ehsan had fun and enjoyed a number of games organised by the CSR committee of Brunei Press with games like ‘Pass the Lime’ Spoon Relay, ‘Wet, Wet, Wet’ Water Relay, Three-Legged Race, Form The Longest Line, ‘Catwalk!’ and Tug-of-War.

Winding down the fun-filled morning was a prize presentation ceremony to all the winners of the games during the Fun Day at Pusat Ehsan by Dato Paduka Mohd Alimin and Reggie See.
